About Me

Who am I?

Good question.

I’m just a guy with an unquenchable thirst for adbundance in all aspects of my life, and with a pile of big, hairy, audacious goals. And I never quit until I achieve them.

I’ve always had the “entrepreneur bug” in me. As a kid, I charged people in my neighborhood admission to attend haunted houses in my basement. As a teenager, I sold adventure game hints from tiny classified ads (yes, I know, pretty dorky). As a highly paid slave, I sold coffee mugs and t-shirts part-time online during the “dot com” boom.

For 7 years I made other people rich in the IT industry. Then, in 2001, I walked away from that world forever and embarked on what has been, quite literally, a life-changing journey.

I’m also a musician and even made a go of it full time after college for a while. These days, I just like to be able to afford the nice guitars I only dreamed about as a starving axe-slinger, and I can infrequently be found playing my own flavor of “folk ‘n’ roll” at sporadic gigs.

What’s next? Who knows, but my goals list is only growing longer.

So, this is my blog, which I will keep updated until I become bored with it (hey, I’m honest), and where I’ll document what I like to call “abundance in action”. I hope you enjoy it.

Have fun,
Greg

Coffee time with the victims…

Health

I’m sitting here at Starbucks. I’ve been here for about 3 hours. Just sitting here doing some work because the internet isn’t hooked up at my new house.
(BTW, I find it funny that Starbucks wants to charge me for wifi, but the store next door has it for free - guess which one I’m connected [...]

Live at the Trinity House - October 18th, 2008

Music

Well, whaddya know… I was asked to come back to the Trinity House Theatre and play a longer opening set - this time for Nobody’s Darlin’, an all-female olde-timey folk music band. They rule.
I looked up my old musical buddy, Mike Buhagiar, for this gig. We hadn’t performed together in many years, so it was [...]

Why IM marketing gimmicks are like “hippie crack”

I’ve been online since 1983, way back in the days of BBS’s, Apple //e’s, and Commodore 64’s, and I’ve been marketing online since 1996. Starting in 2004, I’ve spent over $100,000 on internet marketing (IM) education.
Here’s what I’ve observed: there’s a RIGHT way, and a WRONG way to use IM education.
Here’s the WRONG way, which I’ve [...]

Spy on my “what works now” $100,000 marketing education

Dear Fellow Marketer,
Since 2004, I’ve spent well over $100,000 on marketing education.
Much of it was mediocre.
Some of it was crap.
Some still, a downright “ripoff”.
But, a small portion of it was PURE GOLD.
Now, for the first time ever, I’m going to share with a small group of like-minded marketers the “what works now” marketing tips and [...]
